Things
to Do and Fort Worth Charter Bus Tips
Fort
Worth, Texas is located just 45 minutes from Dallas, Texas. While
smaller Ft. Worth still has several attractions and events to consider.

Attractions
- Fort Worth Zoo -
The Zaget Survey U.S. Family Guide listed the Fort Worth Zoo as
the #1 attraction in the Dallas / Fort Worth area and the #19
attraction in the country. This is a great place for field trips
or other group excursions.
-
Texas Ballet Theater
- That's right, you can use "Texas" and "ballet"
in the same sentence and it still makes sense. Balance out that
cowboy culture with some fine arts at the Texas Ballet Theater.
This is the only fully professional ballet company in the Dallas
/ Ft. Worth area. It's located in downtown Ft. Worth and is walking
distance to many bars and restaurants. HINT: Is your group located
in Dallas? Rent a Fort Worth charter bus and keep your group together,
safe, and happy.
-
Kimbell Art Museum - Many
consider this to be "America's Best Small Museum". The
museum contains a variety of exhibits from the past to present.
The building itself is worth seeing. Designed by the great American
architect Louis Kahn, it is widely regarded as one of the most
outstanding public art facilities in the world.
-
Hurricane
Harbor Water Park - The areas most fun place to get some relief
from that Texas sun. This Six Flag's park hosts a variety of rides
that are great from kids to adult. Check out their web site for
more info. The park is frequented by large groups and there is
plenty of parking whether you arrive by car or motorcoach.
Nightlife
- Billy
Bob's - At 7 acres it is the World's Largest Honky Tonk. In
addition to two big dance floors, 25 bars, multiple restaurants,
a Wall of Fame, and a general store it has its own rodeo arena.
There is live music every night and free dance lessons on Thursdays.
Keep your group safe by traveling on a Fort Worth charter bus.
-
Sundance Square -
This is the place to shop, eat dinner, see a band, watch a ballet,
and bar hop all within walking distance. In fact, Texas Monthly
went as far to name it "the hottest downtown in Texas"
(This writer would like to argue that you can't beat 6th St. in
Austin as far as downtown districts go).
-
City Streets
Multi-Level Club - This is a huge venue located in Sundance
Square downtown. It has a scene within it's walls for almost every
person or every mood. Karaoke? Got it. Pool and darts? Got it.
Cage dancing? Got that too. The streets around this bar and others
in Sundance Square can get pretty crowded so if you plan on renting
Ft. Worth charter bus then expect it to drop you off and pick
you up later.
-
Comedy by Four Day Weekend
- This group creatively incorporates the audience into their comedy
performance. They differentiate themselves by keeping their content
clean and genuinely funny. It is the longest running show in Fort
Worth, Texas. If you're considering a comedy show it's worth driving
to see even if you're in Dallas. Rent a motorcoach in Fort Worth
and laugh all the way home.
Restaurants
- When in Rome, eat what the Romans do. So when in Texas go for
the BBQ and Tex-Mex. Well, that's not such a hard fast rule in
the larger cities. Fort Worth, TX has about every genre of food
your belly could command. One of the best dining
guides around was put together by a local paper.
Sports
- Texas Motor Speedway
- Satisfy your need for speed at the second largest sports and
entertainment facility in the nation capable of hosting 150,000
visitors. This is the only stadium to handle all major forms of
American automobile racing.
-
Texas Rangers Baseball
- Only a few minutes away in Arlington, Texas you can see the
Texas Rangers play ball.
-
Just a short drive to Dallas and you can also watch your favorite
Texas teams compete such as the Dallas
Stars, Dallas Cowboys,
and the Dallas Mavericks.
